I start with a upper and lower eye liner (black kohl), which I then cover (directly on top, and only where the liner is) with various colors of eye shadow. Lately it's been a lot of purple, because it really accents my green eyes. Anyway, I find that liner will smear onto the upper part of your eyelid throughout the day- so I use a light dusting of silver or beige (just a neutral, barely noticeable shadow) on the rest of my lid. It prevents it from smudging so much, and if it does smudge I can just wipe it away with a piece of tissue because of the thin layer of eyeshadow beneath it. What is the best colored eyeliner? Do you use a eyeshadow over it? Also, is there a ';top coat'; to set it?
personally black is always the best way to go, but if you want some color than research the colors that go best with your eye color. You want to enhance your beauty not mask it. For example, my eyes are hazel with mostly brown so I've found that a light purple on a daily bases enhances the color of my eyes and if i want to play it up to go out I use a little darker of a purple. I use black eyeliner but I could use a purple or neutral color along with neutral eye shadows to blend the effect. You should browse through some magazines and find what you like best. Just remember to start off applying the color lightly and then add more until you get the desired look. Also Maybelline started it but most other companies sell eyeshadows with the optimal blending colors and even go as far as telling where on your eyes to place the color. Also there are usually signs suggesting the matching eyeliner and mascara. What is the best colored eyeliner? Do you use a eyeshadow over it? Also, is there a ';top coat'; to set it?
what u can do is buy gel eyeliner (which does not need a top coat) in colors. if not there are H.I.P colored eyeliners at walmart or target which are actually pretty good and affordable. if they are pencils they might need a sealant just like any other pencil liner, so when you are done applying the liner, seal it with a sealant. dip an angled eyeliner brush in either clear mascara or matching colored powder and trace over the colored line with the solution. u should be good for the whole day.
u can also use eye shadow of any color, wet an angled brush, and pat the color in slowly on ur eyes like u normally do with liquid eyeliner. this stays longer that pencils. its creamy at first but once its dry it doesnt need a sealant. it looks great on u plus its unique.
to school i wear black but then when im going out i like to wear pink or blue, and i don't wear a top coat or eyeshadow over it.
i think pink is THE BEST!!!
Black is def the fool proof waya to go, but if u wanan try something different, go with brown, white ( to make eyes look bigger )
or Navy
no top coat
