Can you use any type of eyeshadow wet?

or does it have to say wet/dry? and if you can't then can you use a white cream eyeshadow base to make it bold?

i recently bought jordana eyeshadow in a pale pink and i have brown skin and it barely shows up. i put a small amount of water on top of the eyeshadow and then tried to use my brush to apply and it didn't work. i think i used too much water, but when i tried applying it with the sponge instead of the brush it was a little better, but i still dont know if it can be applied wet.Can you use any type of eyeshadow wet?
No, you can use ANY type of eyeshadow wet or dry.

Use Mixing Medium to use your shadows wet, not water! That does nothing for the staying power and intensity of the shadow.

DO NOT WET YOUR ACTAUL EYESHADOWS! What you do is, you get your flat eyeshadow beush (dry, pack it into the shadow, THEN spray the eyshadow-loaded broash with a mixing medium.

Did you use a primer? Like Urban Decay Primer Potion?

It it could be because your makeup is horribly pigmented, I don't know.

Oh, and most cream eyeshadow contains oils in them, so it will contradict with the liquid.

A good mixing medium is MAC's, or you could make your ownCan you use any type of eyeshadow wet?
If it's a powder or a solid the water would only be a medium for carrying the particles... if it has an oil base I imagine you might have some trouble, check the ingredients.

I don't wear makeup so I can't help you by brand, but basic chemistry classes make me think it should work as long as your not dealing with an oil base or petroleum product.

If you have more water per x amount of dust particles, your not going to get as much dust on your eyes, because there's less in the solution.

Lol. Bet you didn't expect the chem deparment. to stop by and over analyze your question did you.
a lot of eyeshadows will work if you put water on the brush. matte eyeshadows will probably not show up as well as shimmery and very pigmented eyeshadows! hope this helps..

oh, and also try using glycerin and water instead of water by itself :)
yes you can wet it. but wet your brush and then apply it, dont wet the actual eyeshadow.
maybe you should try to just use it dry...maybe put a little cream base but nothing big, you dont want to have it be messy
